Job Description RMC Signalling & Electrical, part of RMC Rail Services, has been delivering reliable signalling solutions across WA since 2018. Over the last 7 years we’ve grown our capabilities to support major Maintenance & Renewals Programs and deliver stand-alone projects - including work on the METRONET program and the rollout of Automatic Train Protection for the PTA. We’re now seeking an experienced Signal Technician to join our Perth-based team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing rail signalling systems to support safe and efficient operations across both metropolitan and regional networks. Backed by our strong Project Management Office and WA-based depots, you’ll be part of a skilled team committed to dependable project delivery in both maintenance and renewals. Job Requirements To succeed in this role, you’ll share our values of Safety, Integrity, People and Excellence , and bring: A current C Class Driver’s Licence A valid WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Worker’s Licence (essential) Construction Induction (White Card) Current Safeworking Accreditation (PTA and/or ARC Track Access Permit) Ability to pass a CAT 1 Rail Medical and ongoing drug and alcohol screening Strong commitment to safety and following WHS/OH&S regulations Solid knowledge of railway signalling systems , equipment, and fault diagnosis Proven ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team Job Responsibilities Maintain, repair and test rail signalling systems and infrastructure Diagnose and rectify faults in signalling equipment and complex circuits Install electrical and electronic signalling components to specification Carry out first-line maintenance efficiently and safely Operate within rail safeworking rules and follow site-specific instructions Complete maintenance records and submit required documentation Use appropriate communication protocols to coordinate with site teams Respond to safety incidents or equipment failures as required Promote a strong safety culture and represent RMC professionally on all worksites Job Benefits Long-term project pipeline across metro and regional WA Access to ongoing training, upskilling, and career development pathways Supportive team culture with strong leadership and on-the-ground support Simple mobile onboarding to get you job-ready quickly Employee perks through Railtrain Rewards – discounts on everyday products, services, and utilities Be part of a growing business with a reputation for delivering quality signalling projects
