Job Description

Desired Experience & Qualification 5 years minimum experience in lecturing A relevant postgraduate qualification (Master's degree or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Education, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching, curriculum development, and educational leadership. Private education experience would be beneficial Duties & Responsibilities Teaching and Learning Deliver high-quality on-campus undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes. Develop and review course/unit content and teaching materials in collaboration with curriculum staff. Coordinate units (where applicable), ensuring teaching activities meet academic standards and accreditation requirements. Facilitate engaging laboratory and workshop sessions. Provide timely and effective consultation to support student success. Participate in academic committees and ongoing professional development in teaching and learning. Course Design and Development Continuously enhance course and unit content based on student feedback, academic reflection, and industry input. Collaborate with fellow teaching and curriculum design staff to ensure pedagogically sound and engaging materials and assessments. Assessment and Moderation Design, assess, and moderate student work to maintain academic integrity and consistency. Conduct Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessments as needed. Ensure timely return of feedback and submission of grades via Moodle. Research and Scholarship Initiate and publish research in peer-reviewed academic journals. Support the preparation of grant and research funding applications. Contribute to conferences and webinars. Engage in continuous scholarly and professional development. Academic Quality and Review Participate in annual course and unit reviews and continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with company policies. Provide verbal and written feedback to oversight committees. Administration and Academic Leadership Oversee course-related administrative tasks, including submission of unit outlines, resource planning, and assessment setup. Mentor, support, and monitor academic staff, and lead team planning meetings. Represent the institution in the wider academic, professional, and industrial community. Ensure compliance with all institutional, accreditation, and legislative requirements.
