Medical Manager (Northern Italy) About the role For our dynamic, growing, and innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone willing to think beyond the traditional big pharma MSL scope and operate autonomously with an entrepreneurial mindset. The position offers the opportunity to develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily activities. You will join a team with one Medical Manager in Italy and will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and the execution of medical projects. You will also support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities. Residency in Italy and fluency in English are required for communication with the European management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe. Major tasks & responsibilities Develop Medical Affairs strategies and execute scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards. Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs, influencers, and healthcare leaders using evidence-based information. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma. Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs for melanoma patients. Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma. Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress. Disseminate clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds in a compliant and ethical manner. Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries. Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support. Education Qualifications (Graduate-Post Graduate) Mandatory: (bio)medical or scientific academic degree. Driver’s license required. Work experience Minimum of 3 years in MSL or Medical Manager roles within the innovative pharmaceutical industry. At least 1 year of experience in a commercial function in the pharmaceutical sector. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English. Desirable: Experience in Dermatology or Oncology. Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy. Technical skills / job-specific competencies Strong scientific knowledge. Strategic thinking abilities. Knowledge of Dermatology or Oncology. Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance. Excellent teaching and presentation skills. Flexibility and patience. Positive, creative mindset when facing challenges.
