Overview Role Are you a talented early-career engineer eager to make an impact in next-generation wireless technologies? Fondazione Chips-IT is looking for a Junior Researcher to join its dynamic team working at the frontier of millimeter-wave IC design for phased arrays and radar systems — key technologies for beyond 5G, 6G, advanced sensing, and high-precision radar. Responsibilities Participate in R&D of integrated circuits for mmWave phased arrays. Support the design and simulation of RF / mmWave building blocks (LNAs, PAs, Phase Shifters, etc.). Collaborate with senior researchers and engineers to develop and validate new concepts. Perform measurements using standard RF test equipment in lab settings. Stay up to date with the latest trends in mmWave ICs and phased array systems. Contribute to publications, patents, and conference presentations. Required Qualifications Master’s in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field. Some experience in IC design, preferably on RF / mmWave applications. Familiarity with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, ADS, HFSS, Momentum, etc.). Basic understanding of RF measurements and lab instrumentation. Eagerness to learn, grow, and work in a multidisciplinary team. Curiosity, determination, and creative problem-solving skills.
