Overview Head of Business Development for Fund Connect Europe - VP. The Head of Business Development for Fund Connect will report to the Head of Fund Connect EMEA. This role is a general management role with responsibility for our Fund Connect European business. Primary responsibilities include a broad range of strategic functions spanning business strategy, product conception / management, third party partnerships, sales, implementation, client ops and servicing. With a consultative, solutions-oriented approach; you will be expected to demonstrate initiative, energy, and superior networking skills to develop trust and accountability across both the MMF industry and the State Street organization. What You Will Be Responsible For Manage the overall client onboarding, ensuring appropriate expectation is set with clients and then delivering on the expectation and getting revenue over the line as effectively as possible. Participate in sales processes and discovery sessions, to ensure superior demonstrations /presentations. Develop significant expertise on industry trends, competitor services/offerings and client’s business environment and provide clients with industry expertise sharing trends as well as current and potential impact on the client business model; Represent the firm at regional conferences and be an active participant in related activity. Develop European Fund Connect strategic product positioning for each new and existing component, including product features, client benefits, investment merit and competitive differentiation for the target client. Partner with marketing to deliver on Fund Connect European product positioning and sales collateral. Create an integrated view of Fund Connect European product and competitive opportunities, based on analyses of market constituents, client feedback, competitive intelligence, investment trends and industry developments. Develop recommendations on product gaps, marketing themes and competitive campaigns to position our offering to maximize our competitive advantages. Serve as local Outsourced Performance Manager (OPM), with product knowledge for specific arrangements and local accountability. Key responsibilities include performing initial due diligence on service providers, evaluating criticality and risk rating, ensuring sufficient controls are embedded, establishing SLA, KPIs and KRIs, providing ongoing oversight mechanism, escalating material contractual breaches and local governance reporting. Education And Preferred Qualifications A degree in a related discipline, FCA certified role BS/BA and 7 years of experience leading a product in the financial services industry. Experience with exchange traded funds strongly desired plus strong knowledge of global financial markets. Strategic thinker able to independently lead initiatives across functions. Experience driving business initiatives from concept to implementation strongly desired. Strong execution skills. Demonstrated business product strategy expertise with a record of developing and implementing successful product and channel strategies. Excellent communicator, experienced in presenting to senior leaders and clients, with strong influencing and persuasion skills. Relationship management experience a plus. Conduct business in an ethical manner while displaying personal and corporate integrity. Additional Requirements Adjust to new, different, or changing requirements.
