Automation Hardware Technical Support Europe Beckman Coulter is looking for a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or Germany. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will provide second-level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on automation platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to determine actions to rapidly repair instrumentation, train customers and Service Engineers, support the Applications Team, and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems to support the overall commercial organization. You will operate independently mainly in the Italian/German territory and in Europe when needed (overnight travel as required) to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. The team works to share standard methodologies, mentor, and provide experienced technical support. Responsibilities Provide second-level technical support for automation platforms to customers and internal teams. Resolve problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting; drive service targets and maintain customer satisfaction/retention. Train customers and Service Engineers; support the Applications Team; verify operational performance and data quality of systems. Work independently within Italy/Germany and across Europe as needed, including overnight travel. Install, maintain, and service automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and laboratory environments. Qualifications Biomedical engineer or equivalent. At least 5 years of technical support and field service experience in the diagnostics market. Early-career candidates with troubleshooting experience (thesis or internships) are welcome. Proficient in English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Ability to travel within the country and periodically to other European countries; overnight travel required; valid driver’s license. Desired/Helpful Willing to work different shifts or flexible hours as business needs. Analytical mindset; able to analyze data, identify problems, and find effective solutions.
