Join G4S Cash Solutions as an Cash centre Superviosr in Newcastle G4S Cash Solutions (SA) a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cash Centre Supervisor to join our team in Newcastle. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will supervise and oversee the total operations within the span of control. To ensure alignment of contractual obligations to customers and drive implementation of the companys cash processing procedures in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible. To assist in improving cash operations profitability. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, but SA citizens will have a distinct advantage. About the Role 1. Effective Supervision of the Cash Processing Centre Operations Ensure that the tellers are processing according to Cash processing policy and procedures An equal distribution of work to avoid bottle necks Effective managing of the end-to-end work flow process Ensure all floats are balanced on a daily basis Comply with Cash Centre operational and administrative procedures within defined guidelines Ensure that Record keeping of all applicable documents are maintained/retained as per the standards Responsible to ensure that all daily recons are balanced Quality Assurance Ensures that all relevant legislative requirements (SARB minimum standards) are adhered to and that Company procedures and standards (including Health and Safety, security, personnel, finance and risk) are maintained. Set and maintain acceptable standards of behaviour at work by all subordinate employees, as required by G4Ss code of conduct and disciplinary code. 2. Effective Supervision of Staff Assist with other relevant duties and responsibilities that management may require from time to time Assist with allocation of staff in the CMC Monitor performance and provide feedback Assist with the optimization of resources to meet the cash center operational needs Oversight of employee record ensuring that all relevant and required documentation is on file Action all customer queries and complaints Verify/check all cash transactions/differences Responsible to ensure that staff process customer transactions accurately People Management Effectively manage overtime and working hours as per employee contract Training and development Succession Planning Determine training needs (in line with training and HR policy) for Cash Centre staff. Arrange for attendance of subordinates at scheduled training interventions Engage with staff on a regular basis and coach staff as needed. Ensure all employees have attended the role specific training Supervisor must take ownership of personal development Leadership Monitor and address staff motivation levels Set and maintain acceptable standards of behaviour at work by all subordinate employees, as required by G4Ss values, code of conduct and disciplinary code. Ensure that all disciplinary actions are conducted in compliance with Company policies and procedures. Hold regular Cash Centre staff team meetings and communicate to all CMC staff through those briefings. Ensure record keeping of all minutes of meetings Ensure that all staff adhere to the uniform standards at all times Risk and compliance Manage and monitor loss prevention and loss reduction controls Ensure and monitor adherence to procedures and policies with regards to risk Ensure the adherence and correct utilization of company systems and procedures by performing maintenance checks on the CCTV/note counters and all other equipment in the branch 3. Health and Safety Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year. Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks Report all safety incidents to the relevant people Discuss all safety incidents Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management Attend safety education and refresher programmes Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace Distribute safety information as and when required Wear protective clothing all the time Qualification and Experience Grade 12 with math and/or accounting Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous Relevant working experience required Flexibility in terms or working hours will be required If you're ready to take on this important role and contribute to a leading cash management solutions provider, apply today!
