Job Description
Division V - Physics and Mathematics, Institute for Analysis (IANA), KIT Department of Mathematics invites applications for an unlimited University Professorship (W3) »Analysis of partial differential equations« to be filled from April 1, 2026. We are looking for you as an outstanding personality with a thematic focus on the analysis of non-linear partial differential equations with links to physical or other scientific or engineering problems. You will participate in the research focus «Partial Differential Equations» and support its coordinated third-party funded projects. In addition, you will take part in the KIT center MathSEE and facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation. In teaching, you will represent the field of «Analysis» with a teaching obligation of 9 hours per week during the semester and support the teaching tasks of the Institute of Analysis. You will also be in charge of coordinating the teaching of mathematics in the field of electrical engineering and information technology. You will be head of your own working group and become a member of the collegial institute management. We also expect you to participate in the academic self-administration of the KIT Department of Mathematics. Employment is subject to Art. 14, par.
