Job Description

Our client, a leading retail group, is looking for an Junior Buyer to join their procurement team. In this role you manage the full buying process — from supplier negotiations to ensuring stock availability in-store — all while keeping the business ahead of the competition. The Key Responsibilities: Develop sourcing strategies and identify new suppliers. Negotiate the best prices, quality, and product ranges. Benchmark competitor pricing and track market trends. Manage supplier relationships, credit limits, and rebates. Monitor and proactively manage stock levels across branches. Support with promotions, returns, and inter-branch transfers. Minimum Requirements & Experience Grade 12 BA/BCom in International Trade and Economics Risk Management or related field 5 years’ experience as a Buyer/Benchmarking Specialist. 2 years in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Valid driver’s license, own transport, Ready to take the next step in your career?
