At MOOFWD Limited (Contractor), in Lisbon, Portugal Expires at : 2025-09-29 Remote policy : Full remote We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java, web technologies, and modern testing frameworks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building robust, scalable enterprise applications and testing frameworks across FinTech, banking, and large-scale web applications. This role requires proficiency in both backend and frontend automation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend APIs, microservices, and web applications. Write and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using industry-standard tools. Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure software delivery. Implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases covering functional, regression, performance, and API testing. Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and Agile ceremonies. Contribute to CI / CD pipelines with automated testing for faster, reliable releases. Ensure best practices in test coverage, code quality, and documentation. Preferred Qualifications Strong background in Agile / Scrum practices. Experience with large-scale fintech, banking, or enterprise web applications. Ability to work closely with UX / UI, backend developers, and business stakeholders. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Main requirements Programming & Backend Strong experience in Java / J2EE (Java 8 / 11 / 17), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, REST APIs, and Microservices. Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, DDD, event-driven and hexagonal architecture. Proficiency in SQL / PLSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis. Experience with Kafka, BPMN (Camunda), and API gateways. Exposure to Salesforce (Omni Studio, Vlocity, Integration Procedures) is a plus. Frontend & UI Testing Strong proficiency in Angular (latest versions), ReactJS, Redux, RxJS, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6). Experience with responsive design, accessibility (WCAG standards), and performance optimization (code splitting, lazy loading, change detection strategies). Hands-on experience in frontend testing frameworks: Jest, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, React Testing Library. Testing & Automation Skilled in JUnit, Mockito, Postman, Selenium, API testing, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing. Experience with test management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, and Git-based workflows. Familiarity with reporting tools like TIBCO Jaspersoft. DevOps & Tools CI / CD : Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Git, Bitbucket. Containerization & Cloud : Docker, AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB), Grafana, Splunk. Development & Debugging Tools : Eclipse, SQL Developer, VS Code, Chrome DevTools, React Profiler. Nice to have Experience with large-scale fintech, banking, or enterprise web applications.
