This role is within the UK Communications team for Airbus Defence and Space. Based in our Stevenage offices with the flexibility for remote work, the team has a wide remit and works across our main UK sites in Stevenage, Portsmouth, and Newport. This is a great opportunity to learn about communicating to a wide-ranging external audience and working with an international team. What you will be doing: During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include: * Developing content for external communications including sourcing content for articles, writing engaging stories for the web and drafting press releases; * Developing content and ideas for social media; * Creating presentations and audiovisual material; * Organising events - for media and customer visits including attending industry exhibitions; * Contributing ideas for overall UK communications campaigns and monitoring KPIs. Requirements: Our placements are open to * Undergraduates only * *.* Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following: * Studying towards a degree related to Communications, Media, International Politics and Content Marketing; * Ability to use G Suite; * Ability to write content in different formats - suitable for the web, social media and media releases. SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
