Job Title: Trading Lead Business Analyst (ETRM) Location: London , Hybrid (2 days in-office per week) Type: Full-time | Permanent Industry: Energy Trading & Technology About the Role We’re looking for a Trading Lead Business Analyst (ETRM) to join our high-performing Trading IT team. This is a strategic, hands-on role with direct impact on energy trading across European markets. You’ll take ownership of ETRM delivery, drive high-value initiatives, and lead a cross-functional team across the UK and Europe. If you're experienced in energy trading systems and want to shape the future of trading technology in an agile, fast-moving environment, this role offers both challenge and opportunity. Key Responsibilities Act as the functional lead for ETRM delivery, owning all change delivery across your vertical. Manage and prioritise the backlog with delivery and technical leads to drive high-value outcomes. Partner with Trading, Sales, Middle Office, and Back Office teams to turn business needs into tested, accepted solutions. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure stakeholder sign-off before go-live. Evaluate and estimate major changes, clearly communicating impacts and benefits to stakeholders. Work with architects and tech leads to align on roadmaps and strategy. Lead and mentor a team of BAs, Developers, and QAs across multiple locations. What You’ll Bring Proven experience as a Business Analyst in energy trading or ETRM environments (gas & power, physical & financial products). Hands-on experience across the deal lifecycle , from front to back office. Exposure to ETRM platforms (ION’s OpenLink v18/v25 highly desirable). Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. Track record in agile delivery , backlog ownership, and balancing tactical vs strategic goals. Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern development practices. Degree in a technical or numerate field preferred.
