Chartered Building Surveyor

Job Location

Manchester,, United Kingdom

Job Description

Chartered Building Surveyor Manchester £55,000 bonus car What if your knack for building client relationships translated into more money, more progression and more say in where things go? If you're the person clients call directly (the one they trust) then you’re already doing the hardest part. Now imagine getting 10% of any fees you help bring in, for 12 months. No red tape, no gatekeeping. Just clear reward for real influence. And with a bonus structure that's fully visible (yes, genuinely), you can even track how much you’re going to get this year. No guesswork. It’s all tied to performance, so you’re not waiting on someone else's budget or lucky timing to move up the ladder. It’s a proper meritocracy, where you cannot be overlooked. You’ll only need to be in the office on Mondays and Fridays, the freedom to work from anywhere midweek. There’s also £600 a year to spend on your development - whether that’s events, coaching, or specialist training - and a new career-tracking system that supports your move toward seniority, or even equity, in the longer term. And if you refer a friend or colleague that gets hired to work with you, that’s another £2,000 in your pocket. What you’ll be doing You’ll deliver a mix of professional services and project-focused building surveying services while playing a key part in growing the Manchester team. This includes: Building surveys, defect analysis, schedules of condition, dilapidations, and party wall matters. Project managing refurbishment and maintenance projects up to £2m in value, from start to finish. Being the go-to contact for clients - building trust and long-term partnerships. Supporting and mentoring Graduate and Assistant Surveyors as they work toward chartership. What you’ll need Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent). Experience across both professional services and project delivery. A client-first mindset, and the ability to lead relationships - not just tasks. Who you’ll be joining This is a team built on purpose. They're friendly, straight-talking built environment specialists with deep expertise in the spaces that shape daily life - schools, offices, hospitals, and homes. They bring both sustainable principles and commercial focus to every project, making sure buildings work for the people using them, the people owning them, and the environment they sit in. Clients trust them because the advice is clear, outcome-led, and refreshingly fluff-free. You’ll know what needs doing, why it matters, and what success looks like. Internally, they’ve created a place where commercial minds thrive. Good work is recognised, good people progress, and personal growth is taken seriously.
