About the Role As part of our cross-functional team, youll provide rapid, effective responses to breakdowns, complete planned maintenance, and work alongside Operations to ensure production targets are met. Youll also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, minimising downtime, and ensuring equipment performs to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Respond to machinery breakdowns and log actions in CMMS (Shire) Complete planned maintenance tasks to GMP standards Provide first-line maintenance support for auxiliary equipment (boilers, AC, etc.) Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively Monitor line performance to improve efficiency and reduce waste Work with contractors, issue permits, and assist with installations/decommissioning Maintain safe working practices and comply with statutory requirements Support production operations when needed as part of a lean team Skills & Experience Required Time-served engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3, ONC, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent) Essential Multi-skilled (mechanical and/or electrical) with FMCG/automation experience Essential Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills Confident using Microsoft Office and CMMS software Strong communication and organisational abilities Health & Safety focused, with a continuous improvement mindset 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Desirable Shift Pattern & Benefits 4 on / 4 off continental shift pattern Days: 06:0018:00 | Nights: 18:0006:00 42 hours per week Starting Grade C8 pay rate, rising to Grade C9 after probation Company benefits including pension, paid holidays, and sick pay scheme If you want to work in a role where your skills keep the heart of the operation beating apply today and join our engineering team in Middlewich.
