Assistant Principal – Engineering Centre (6-Month Contract) Location: Nottingham Contract: Fixed-Term (6 months) Start Date: September Salary: Daily Rate Are you an inspirational leader with a strong background in Engineering education and a passion for driving excellence? We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Principal to lead our Engineering Centre on a fixed-term basis. As part of the senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our Engineering provision, ensuring high-quality teaching, strong student outcomes, and effective industry engagement. You’ll lead curriculum innovation, support staff development, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership for the Engineering Centre Drive high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment Manage staff performance and support professional development Lead curriculum planning and development aligned with industry needs Ensure compliance with quality assurance and funding requirements Strengthen employer partnerships and support apprenticeships and work-based learning About You: Proven leadership experience within FE or a similar educational setting Strong background in Engineering or related STEM disciplines Track record of improving teaching standards and learner outcomes Ability to lead and motivate teams through change Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a high-performing department with strong employer links and significant investment in facilities.
