Computer Numerical Control Machinist

JOB – CNC Machinist LOCATION – Gloucester TERM – Permanent SALARY – £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a leading Engineering company specialising in precision components and assemblies for a variety of industries. They are looking to expand their machining team by taking on a CNC Machinist to work in their workshop in Gloucester. The CNC Machinist will ideally have the following attributes: • Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Mazak controls would be advantageous • Knowledge of precision engineering and tight tolerances • Apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Strong communication skills • Willingness to develop and progress within the company The CNC Machinist role will involve: • Setting and operating CNC machines to produce precision-engineered components • Working to tight tolerances and quality standards • Reading and interpreting technical drawings • Performing quality checks on parts produced • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment • Liaising with the engineering team to ensure production deadlines are met • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
