Job Description
Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting (Sage Evolution) Capture and process supplier invoices, customer receipts, payments, and journals. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts. Generate and distribute customer statements, and follow up on outstanding debtors. Assist with month-end close procedures and prepare required reports. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Support VAT reconciliations, submissions, and audit preparations. Inventory & Operations Support Issue pick lists to warehouse staff based on approved sales orders. Confirm goods received against delivery notes and purchase orders. Capture GRNs (Goods Received Notes) into Sage Evolution. Book and schedule deliveries with couriers or internal drivers. Maintain accurate records of stock movements. Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve stock or delivery discrepancies. Qualifications & Experience Grade 12 / Matric (required). Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field (advantageous). 12 years experience in a finance or operations support role. Proficiency in Sage Evolution (essential). Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written). Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Sage Evolution (including GRN and inventory modules). Good understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations. Advanced administrative and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Ability to work across teams and departments. Excellent communication and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Advantageous Experience in a stock-based or distribution business. Familiarity with courier booking systems and scheduling. Ability to resolve stock or delivery issues effectively.
