Job Description

Overview Join to apply for the Junior Microwave Designer role at Nokia . We are looking for a young graduate in electronic engineer with a strong interest on passive an active microwave circuits! If you are passionate on the Microwaves domain, you like to collaborate with different international teams and you are reliable, we are looking for you! The project will involve the design, specification, and testing of passive components such as filters, diplexers, circulators, isolators, OMTs, and waveguide transitions. These passive items may handle both low-level signals and high-power levels of 20W or more. In parallel, active circuits will be developed, including high-power transmitters, receivers, synthesizers, power supply, and control modules, all integrated on multilayer hybrid PCBs. The activity will be completed with the full transceiver architecture design, followed by thorough testing, verification, and reporting. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn Perform requirement analysis and feasibility studies. Define the Hardware architecture and select the relevant technologies/components required. Perform Hardware development and technical detailed design focused on microwave domain. Perform the Hardware unit test/qualification and provide reports. Report and track the Hardware project status Manage the Hardware configuration Contribute to process improvement and innovation. Collaborate with different international teams across the ocean. Key Skills And Experience A degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering. Knowledge of waveguide microwave circuit theory, filter and circulator theory Knowledge of analog circuit design, linear and non-linear Knowledge of microwave planar circuit theory Knowledge of microwave system theory and basic blocks (LNA, PA, synthesizer, mixer, etc) Knowledge of modulation and demodulation theory, QAM signals Deep theoretical knowledge of techniques/technologies related to electronic/mechanic domains A solid background in Math and Physics, as provided by engineering university courses Fluent spoken and written English Good teamwork skills Adaptable and accountable The ability to effectively cooperating with people with different technical background and culture Eager to learn and expand own knowledge Nice to have Experience on Hardware design and product life cycle Knowledge of widely used simulators such as CST and HFSS, ADS, AWR and SPICE Knowledge of schematic capture tools such as Mentor Knowledge of microwave instrumentation Knowledge of active devices and electronic system thermal management About Nokia Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
