Drive Financial Delivery and Excellence Financial Controller FTC Salary: £50,947 per annum Temporary (69 months) | Full-Time or Flexible Options Available Excellent suite of total reward benefits About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join Stoke on Trent College as a Financial Controller, leading financial operations and reporting across the College and its associated entities. Youll play a key role in shaping financial planning, compliance, and system improvement in a values-driven, forward-thinking organisation. Ideal for Professionals seeking career progression Those looking to broaden sector experience Individuals re-entering the profession in a flexible, impactful role What You Will Do Lead the preparation of monthly and year-end accounts, audit files, and financial statements Manage cashflow and oversee procurement activities Support budget holders and ensure accurate forecasting Maintain and improve financial systems and controls Ensure compliance with VAT, asset management, and financial regulations Contribute to strategic financial planning and sustainability . What You Will Bring A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience Strong financial reporting and systems expertise Excellent analytical and communication skills Collaborative approach and attention to detail Experience in Further Education is desirable but not essential Why This Role?
