Product Developer 12 Month FTC

The Company With a goal to delight customers and consumers this continually growing food business work closely with the major retailers and are now seeking a Product Developer to join their dedicated team on a 12 Month Contract. Please note this role requires a full UK driving licence. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Developer to join a vibrant business where you’ll work closely with the Development Chefs and Process teams on exciting projects, contributing to the development of new concepts and updating existing products in line with customer briefs. This multifaceted role will involve working closely with suppliers, building strong rapport with key contacts and managing resources to ensure the consistently flawless creation of product ranges. You will ensure the highest quality at all stages of the process, calculating nutritional data and product feasibility, as well as being mindful of costings and technical requirements. You'll enjoy the challenge of keeping one step ahead of your competitors, researching seasonal food trends and undertaking competitor analysis whilst benchmarking in order to bring a high level of innovation to this fast moving category. The Person We are seeking an NPD professional who has gained valuable hands-on manufacturing experience in a chilled food arena. You could be a graduate with a year in industry coupled with a food science or related degree. Along with this experience, you’ll have an exceptional understanding of food trends, ingredients and seasonality. You must have excellent communication and organisation skills coupled with the ability and enthusiasm to learn quickly and get started on new projects. You’ll also have a real passion for food, be happy to get hands on in the development kitchen, and thrive on the hustle and bustle of a busy environment.
