This job offers you the opportunity to develop in the broadest sense by being engaged in all aspects of the business and manage your own daily work. You will join a team of 1 Medical Manager in Italy, and you will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of the medical projects, as well as providing Medical Affairs support to the Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrable affinity for seeing commercial opportunities. You should reside in Italy and speak English, due to communication with the European Management team. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe. The European management team is located in various places across Europe, with offices in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Major tasks & responsibilities Develop Medical Affairs strategy and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards. Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers in the scientific and healthcare community, utilizing evidence-based information. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange in melanoma. Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients. Provide business support to Italian marketing, commercial, and market access teams for Odomzo (sonidegib) indicated for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma. Lead the process for approval of investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progression. Disseminate clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner. Build and support networks in Derma-oncology and future potential therapeutic areas. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries. Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support. Education Qualifications (Graduate-Post Graduate) Mandatory: (bio)medical/scientific academic degree. Driver’s license required. Minimum of 3 years of MSL or Medical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. At least one year of experience in a commercial role within the pharmaceutical industry. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English. Desirable: Dermatology/Oncology experience. Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy. Technical skills/job-specific competencies Strong scientific knowledge. Strategic thinking skills. Knowledge of dermatology or oncology. Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance. Excellent teaching and presentation skills. Positive, creative approach to challenges. Enjoys interacting with HCPs and fieldwork.
