About This Opportunity Purpose of Job As a key member of the Aerosol Commercial Team, this role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, winning, and managing new business opportunities for our Aerosol Business. The role will also manage established accounts, continuing to grow the relationship and their volume. Principal Accountabilities Fosters new customer engagement within the Italy region and networking of targeted accounts, representing Sonoco. Delivers sales targets, margin enhancement, and profit projections within the Italian customer base by ensuring product mix, pricing, standardization, and NPD. Acts as the focal point for the management of Sonoco's relationship with its Italian customers, ensuring the relationship is proactive. Prepares, maintains, and develops Key Account Plans and manages major customers. Liaises with plants and customers regarding medium- and long-term sales forecasting, including responsibility for forecast accuracy and management of slow-moving stock. Manages customer complaints in close liaison with plant teams, ensuring effective communication and resolution. Develops and manages various customer projects internally and with customers. Produces monthly sales reports and data on time in full. Responsible for pursuing overdue accounts to ensure due diligence regarding working capital. Develops positive, proactive relationships across internal Sonoco departments. Knowledge & Experience Essential Experience working in a commercial environment, ideally within manufacturing. Proven success in achieving sales targets. High levels of commercial acumen. Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to understand technical information and promote Sonoco products and innovations. Ability to effectively manage and maintain relationships with integrity and trust. Strong interpersonal skills: written, verbal, and listening. Proactive and enthusiastic with a self-driven attitude. Highly numerate with attention to detail. Ability to travel as required. Desirable Knowledge of metal/packaging is desirable. What can we offer you?
