Start Date: September 2025 Employment Type: Contract-to-hire position Location: Fully remote within the U.S. (Eastern Time Zone preferred) Reports to: Senior Technical Project Manager About TKH Established in 2014, TKH has provided high-tech training to thousands of students from underserved communities across the country. Our mission is to build a diverse tech workforce by uplifting individuals from underserved communities, offering in-demand tech skills training along with support services to help each Fellow succeed. About This Role We seek a Senior-Level Full Stack Engineer to join 718 Digital Labs on a contract basis with the potential for full-time transition. You will lead the development of features, guide technical decisions, and mentor junior developers on projects such as: Volunteer Portal – Connect alumni with mentors and track engagement Knowledge Base AI Chatbot – Build a resource hub and GPT-powered chat support DigitalPipeline.io – Connect community members to training, resources, and videos KnowledgeBox – Use AI and LMS to generate personalized learning pathways Responsibilities Lead development and deployment of features across TKH’s digital platforms Manage technical architecture, standards, and code reviews Ensure best practices in CI/CD, testing, and security Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with stakeholders Implement AI tools and automation to improve efficiency Evaluate and improve technical processes and frameworks Qualifications 5 years of full stack development experience (JavaScript/Node.js/React or similar) Proven ability to deliver production applications independently Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and integration Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Proficiency in Python and frameworks like Django or Flask Skills & Approach Ability to work independently and manage workstreams Strong focus on code quality, testing, and documentation Excellent communication skills Mentoring and influencing technical direction Compensation $48/hour 34 hours/week 6-month contract-to-hire How to Apply Click on “create profile and apply to job” and submit your resume, cover letter, and GitHub profile/portfolio.
