What You’ll Be Doing Leading and supporting a team of 4 engineers across rotating shifts Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns Conducting planned preventative maintenance and ensuring accurate records via our Shire CMMS system Acting as the first point of escalation for technical and operational challenges Delivering clear and structured shift handovers to ensure seamless team continuity Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Collaborating closely with operations to minimise downtime and optimise productivity Managing spare parts usage and restocking efficiently ✅ What We’re Looking For Completed engineering apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 (Electrical bias preferred) Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment Previous leadership experience (Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Engineer) Confident communicator with solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities Comfortable using CMMS systems (Shire preferred) and MS Office tools IOSH or strong working knowledge of health & safety standards (desirable) What You’ll Get in Return £53,812.50 salary overtime opportunities Cycle2Work scheme 50% discount at Boparan Restaurants Access to EAP and GroceryAid for wellbeing support Personal development budget for training and growth Free on-site parking Clear progression path into Engineering Management About Us Our Thetford facility is part of a wider, sustainability-focused food group committed to delivering quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
