Position Overview We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems and AI/ML to join our team. You will contribute to designing and developing software for embedded devices in the IoT/Automotive sector, collaborating across teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop middleware on Linux-based embedded systems for managing updates, application lifecycle, security, and hardware abstraction. Implement real-time data collection and processing for Automotive IoT applications such as fleet monitoring, predictive maintenance, drive style estimation, vehicle health monitoring, and road type estimation. Integrate and deploy AI/ML models on edge devices to improve system intelligence and responsiveness. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming. Proficiency in Linux OS and shell scripting. Experience with AI/ML frameworks and deploying models on embedded systems. Familiarity with real-time data processing and IoT communication protocols. Problem-solving skills and effective teamwork abilities. Nice to Have Experience with the Yocto Project for embedded Linux development. Knowledge of automotive standards and protocols (e.g., CAN, UDS). Familiarity with hardware accelerators like GPUs or TPUs for AI/ML. Understanding cybersecurity principles in embedded systems. Additional Information Languages: English, Italian (B2). Work Model: Hybrid. We consider internships for students.
