Applications Technical Leader (Java)

Job Description DXC Technology Italy is looking for a Technical Leader to join our Application Service DXC Team. Location: Smart working mode in Rome or Bari - 2 days per week in the office Your Responsibilities Will Include Designing, developing, and executing business and technical software solutions to implement portions of new or enhanced systems (including upgrades or conversions) Understanding and utilizing appropriate solutions/tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and technical problems Interacting with client-facing colleagues (Business Analysts and Project Managers) to understand the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction Staying current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies Leading a small team, providing mentoring and guidance to less senior developers by collaborating with them in designing solutions Education And Skills Bachelor or Master Degree (preferably in technical fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.) Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, Cloud-based applications, Microservices architecture, and patterns Strong technical experience in coding with languages such as Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, Design patterns, architecture design, and SQL and NoSQL databases Familiarity with software development processes (Agile, Waterfall), DevOps Ability to work with web development tools for new applications Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, results focus, decision-making skills, and the ability to work in teams At DXC Technology, we prioritize in-person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances.
