Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Ensuring that the correct value for the costing of the repair is ascertained and authorised. Confirm accuracy of labour and paint hourly rates and price mark-up. Cross checking of parts to supplier invoices. Work in progress cost the WIP to ensure that the cost of the sales is correct. Escalate parts not purchased to Estimator/GM. Before commencement of invoice, must ensure authorisation is received for job and additionals. Ensuring correct documentation for approval on additional work not originally quoted for. Follow up with parts buyer and Estimator regarding unauthorised parts for timeous resolution. Obtaining authorisation on work in progress and final costing from assessor. All parts billed to insurer must have accompanied invoice. Files to be costed from applicable area. Completion of relevant administration timeously and accurately. Review costing and supporting documents with General Manager daily for sign off. Amend as per GM and submit to assessor with all supporting documents for speedy authorisation. Follow up on outstanding documentation and escalate if not resolved within 24 hours. Once all final documents have been received and signed off, invoicing to be carried out. Minimum Requirements: (Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be reviewed) Senior Certificate - Grade 12. (PLUS, a financial qualification would be advantageous). 2 to 5 years as a Costing Clerk in the automotive industry (preferably in auto body repair). Knowledge of end to end processes in auto body repair environment. Experience interacting with Motor Assessors. Experience working on the following systems (Advantageous) Nett Assess system. OUTsurance system. Audatex/Abuntex (Not Negotiable). Microsoft Suite Intermediate. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
