Winder Technician

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 (Essential) N4 National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 5 Essential) Impala Winder Module (Advantageous) PLC Training (Essential) Impala HT Modules (Advantageous) Drive/Control System Fundamentals (Advantageous) Minimum 5 years experience as a Winder Artisan with electrical and electronic control systems Valid Red Ticket / Medically fit to obtain one (Essential) Experience Required PLC logic and control fault finding Hydraulic systems DC and AC motors Electrical distribution systems Networking and communication (Essential) Core Competencies Setting up and maintaining speed distance protection (e.g., Lilly controllers) Execution of daily legal requirements on winders Maintaining safety devices of winders Winder brake systems and control Understanding and applying winder codes of practice and procedures Operation of DC and AC drives Dynamic brake testing of winders Winder automation systems SAP knowledge (Advantageous) Key Performance Areas Ensure winder control systems are optimised, safe, and reliable at all times Respond promptly to winder problems to prevent production delays and safety risks Maintain and update all machinery record books regularly Conduct daily inspections to ensure safety and compliance Perform regular software backups and ensure drawings are up to date Coach and mentor shaft engineering personnel on winder systems to enhance performance Identify redundant equipment to improve sustainability and efficiency Kindly forward your cv to yvonne@infopersonnel.co.za
