Casual Internal Quality Assurer Contract : Fixed Term till December Job Type : 3 hours per week (can be done remotely on onefile) Salary : £29.14 per hour We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Casual Internal Quality Assurer to support our Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeships, with a primary focus on Level 3 EAL AME Competence. This role plays a vital part in ensuring robust, consistent, and compliant assessment practices. You will support the delivery of high-quality learning by coaching and developing Engineering Learning Coaches, while maintaining alignment with awarding body standards and sector-specific technical and safety requirements. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Ensure the quality and compliance of engineering qualification delivery in line with Awarding Organisation (AO) and JCQ requirements, sector-specific technical standards, and internal IQA strategies. Complete and implement internal quality assurance sampling plans effectively across the learner journey, including initial assessment, planning, delivery, assessment, and progression. Conduct observation of engineering practice and assessment as part of sampling activity. Identify 'at risk' learners or learning coaches and collaborate with management to support improvement. Lead and maintain accurate records of standardisation activities with Engineering Learning Coaches. Provide targeted CPD and technical assessment support to maintain high standards. Prepare engineering learner files for EQA visits and ensure audit readiness. Maintain electronic IQA and sampling records in line with sector and awarding body policies. Stay updated with engineering sector developments and disseminate knowledge to teams. Induct new engineering learning coaches on IQA and technical assessment requirements. Collect learner and employer feedback for quality improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Relevant occupational sector experience and qualifications (at a level higher than delivery), and/or current updated CPD. TAQA, equivalent or to relevant sector requirements/ willing to work towards. IQA, equivalent or to relevant sector requirements /willing to work towards. Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent. Excellent communication skills. Experience in coaching to support learning. Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workload.
