Hourly Care Assistant to a Neuroscience Student We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to a 2nd year Neuroscience student, who is currently based at home in Oxford. She is looking for support at her family home from like-minded, caring individuals. Due to the remote location, access to your own vehicle is essential. Start Date: ASAP Location: Middle Barton, Oxford (OX7) until January 2026 / Manchester from January 2026 Hours : Week on/week off / Between 8am and 10pm / morning and evening support Pay: £15 per hour / from 42 hours per week worked / hours to be discussed in interview About the Job This role would suite a recent university graduate or an individual with an interest in Neuroscience! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else’s life. Our client is a full-time electric wheelchair user and requires assistance with many aspects of daily life. Daily duties include but not limited to: - Personal Care - Toileting, showering, getting dressed - Health Care - Administering medication - Social Support - Daily Living - Cooking, Cleaning Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided. About our Client Our client will be returning back to University in Manchester from January, where the role will change to a live in on a week on, week off basis. The PA will have a choice to either work in Oxford with our client until January, or travel and continue working with our client out of Manchester. Despite living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, she maintains a positive outlook, enjoys a variety of hobbies, and values independence. She is looking for a compassionate and reliable PA who can support her daily needs.
