Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Secondary School – Lambeth Location: Lambeth, South London Start Date: ASAP or September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience A forward-thinking secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students in a vibrant, inclusive learning environment and help them reach their full potential. Role Overview: As an LSA, you will support students with a range of needs, both in and outside the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions, support differentiated learning, and promote student engagement and progress. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with additional learning needs Assist teachers in planning and delivering accessible and inclusive lessons Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff Support students’ social and emotional development Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience supporting young people in an educational or similar setting (school-based experience preferred) An understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN, SEMH, or EAL needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for education Able to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when needed Essential Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Two professional references covering the last two years Availability to work Monday to Friday during term time This role is ideal for individuals with a background in youth work, recent graduates considering a career in teaching, or experienced support staff looking for a new challenge within a secondary school setting.
