SEND Lecturer

Job Title: Lecturer – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Location: Uxbridge Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (Flexible availability) We’re looking for a committed and experienced SEND Lecturer to join our college team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and supporting learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Key Responsibilities: Inclusive Teaching: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEND, ensuring accessibility and progress for all learners. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design and delivery of programmes that meet the diverse needs of students, including Functional Skills and vocational pathways. Collaborative Support: Work closely with Learning Support Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide holistic support and effective learning strategies. Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare. Enrichment Activities: Support students during activity days and educational trips, encouraging independence and social development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working with students with SEND in educational or care settings. Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and safeguarding responsibilities. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one). Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills. Ability to tailor teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs.
