Class 2 LGV Driver Waste & Recycling Employer: SWIFT Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division Location: Rotherham, Hellaby Depot, S66 8QL Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week Job Types: Full-time, Contract ongoing work About the Role: SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 LGV Driver to join the waste collections and recycling team supporting the local authority in the Rotherham area. This is an ongoing role, offering consistent work and a structured four-day week. Key Responsibilities: Working as part of the Waste Collection Team based at Hellaby Depot, you will safely carry out waste collections across the Borough, this will include the collection of all waste and recyclables from household and commercial properties. Drive a refuse collection vehicle on assigned rounds Work as part of a team collecting domestic waste and recyclables Carry out a variety of physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions Maintain high safety standards and compliance with operational procedures You must be able to walk distances at a minimum of 8 to 10 miles per day as this is a physically demanding role, must be able to push and pull bins of various sizes over various distances and gradients in all weather conditions. It is essential you have a good understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace and possess the necessary skills in terms of excellent customer care to represent the Council in the delivery of front-line services.
