Plumbing and Gas Lecturer/Assessor

Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Plumbing & Gas Assessor/Teacher to join the team. This role involves teaching full-time students from levels 1-3 and assessing Level 3 Plumbing & Gas Apprentices. The successful candidate will ensure the timely delivery and completion of the NVQ element within our Level 3 Apprenticeship qualifications, including on-site assessments. Day-to-day of the role: Teach and assess students and apprentices in Plumbing & Gas, ensuring high standards of delivery and achievement. Visit apprentices on-site/in their workplace to assess their competence and ability in their trade. Manage the timely completion of the NVQ elements of the apprenticeship. Provide support and guidance to learners, helping them achieve their apprenticeship goals. Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Gas. Gas Safe qualification/registration. Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Evidence of continuing professional development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Proven industrial experience in the Plumbing & Gas sector. Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area. Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to creating a safe learning environment. Preferably qualified or working towards an Assessor and/or Internal Verifiers qualification.
