Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Lancaster. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support teaching and learning, with a focus on providing one-to-one support for students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) Support the teacher with planning and delivery of lessons, including the preparation of classroom resources and materials Assist with classroom management, including behaviour management and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment Provide feedback to the teacher on student progress and any issues that arise Work with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective teamwork and communication Requirements: Relevant experience working in a classroom environment, preferably in a secondary school setting A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience Good communication and interpersonal skills An ability to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative when required A positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting student learning.
