They are now seeking a Business Development / Sales / Applications Engineer to join their team and play a key role in driving sales and customer success. The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team where you will focus on both managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities. Based in Grantham with UK travel and occasional international visits, youll be instrumental in building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering bespoke capital equipment solutions. Once established in the business and product portfolio, hybrid working can be discussed (minimum two days per week in the office). Key Responsibilities Manage and grow existing key accounts through regular contact and site visits. Drive new business development through prospecting, networking, exhibitions, and digital engagement. Utilise social media, email marketing, cold calling, and events to build strong pipelines. Provide technical input to ensure solutions meet customer requirements, liaising with engineering and manufacturing teams. Support aftersales and spares markets. Generate quotes, process orders, and maintain accurate CRM records. Produce customer visit reports and sales pipeline updates. Represent the business at trade shows and contribute to wider marketing activity. About You We are looking for a technically minded sales professional who thrives in both account management and business development. Youll be confident in building relationships, able to understand customer needs, and commercially astute when developing tailored solutions. Key Skills & Experience 25 years experience in technical sales, capital equipment, or engineering sales . Strong account management and customer service focus. Computer literate (MS Office essential; MRP/CRM experience desirable). Strong communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and digital channels.
