Senior Digital Learning Designer Location: UK Flexible Location Salary: £37,634 to £39,574 per annum pro rata Hours: 35 per week Contract: 15 months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) Could you play a crucial role in enabling the British Red Cross to meet its strategic goals by leading the end-to-end design and delivery of impactful digital learning solutions? Could you collaborate with and influence stakeholders across all levels, ensuring that learning experiences are aligned with organisational priorities and drive meaningful outcomes? Could you champion best practice in digital learning - setting and upholding quality and accessibility standards, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all digital learning initiatives? What will a Senior Digital Learning Designer's job involve? Lead digital learning design projects using a consultancy-based approach, partnering with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and senior leaders to ensure strategic alignment, measurable outcomes, and return on investment. Collaborate across the Central Learning and Development (L&D) team and with SMEs to design, develop, and maintain digital learning solutions that are engaging, mobile-compatible, and fully aligned with the British Red Cross brand and accessibility standards. Lead the creation of digital assets and learning packages that enhance the end-to-end learner experience, from initial engagement through to ongoing development, using the most effective tools and approaches. Ensure digital content is appropriately configured and accessible within the Learning Management System (LMS), leveraging its features to support diverse learner needs. Review and refresh digital learning content regularly to align with evolving best practices, accessibility legislation and standards (e.g. WCAG), and learner feedback. Maintain and evaluate success measures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure digital learning remains relevant, effective, and impactful. What will a Senior Digital Learning Designer need to be successful? Strong knowledge of adult learning principles gained through qualifications or practical experience, with a commitment to accessibility and inclusive learning. Proficiency in using digital learning tools (e.g. Storyline, Rise, Premiere Pro, Vyond and Illustrator), with strong graphic design and creative skills. Ability to apply inclusive, user-centric design principles to ensure learning is accessible and impactful for diverse audiences. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and present confidently across diverse audiences across the full instructional design process. Proven experience designing and delivering blended and bite-sized digital learning solutions, tailored to meet diverse learner needs. Demonstrated ability to scope, storyboard, and co-create learning with subject matter experts, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and strategically aligned. Track record of managing multiple digital learning projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to launch and evaluation, consistently meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes.
