Cover Supervisor - York

About the Role SAAF Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of Secondary Schools and Colleges in the York area . This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and confident in leading a classroom in the absence of the class teacher. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day cover or a long-term placement , we have opportunities to suit your availability and career goals. Key Responsibilities Supervise students in the classroom during teacher absence. Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress or issues. Support the learning and development of students across various subjects. Requirements Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting is preferred. Strong classroom management skills and confident communication. A flexible and professional approach to work. Holding QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is ideal but not essential. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
