Service Engineer

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer required to join a global, engineering manufacturer. The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on packaging machinery, strapping machines, stretch wrappers, conveyor systems, and other electromechanical products across the UK, predominantly the Midlands region. The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer will ideally have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering and have some experience fault finding, servicing or maintaining electromechanical equipment. Full product training will be provided. Package £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience Company car Company phone and laptop 25 days holiday bank holidays Company pension Service Engineer Role: To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on packaging machinery and electromechanical equipment at customer sites covering UK wide but predominantly the Midlands. The Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of packaging machinery, strapping machines, stretch wrappers, conveyor systems and other electromechanical products. Full product training provided. Installing electromechanical packaging machinery at customer sites. Perform fault finding and repairs on various electromechanical equipment. Commutable across the UK- predominantly the south of the UK. Service Engineer Requirements: Electrical or mechanical engineering background. Prior experience servicing, repairing or maintaining electromechanical equipment is advantageous however full product training will be provided. HND, HNC, Degree or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineer would be advantageous. Good working knowledge of programming / PLCs is advantageous but not a requirement. Willingness to travel and commute across the UK predominantly located in the Midlands.
