Job Title: B1 Licensed Engineer Location : Luton Salary: DOE Hours: (7pm - 7am) 5 on/5 off/ 4 on shift Job Type: Permanent/ Full time About the role: Key Tasks Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety, and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility while striving to uphold customer OTP record To uphold the terms of any authorisation gained as required by the Head of Compliance ensuring the highest quality standards of work carried out by themselves and staff under their control To ensure the accomplishment of maintenance within responsible area using manpower and resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner To aid in ensuring all relevant Station, EASA and CAA regulations are met To ensure relevant procedures are followed, maintained, and reviewed ensuring compliance with all regulations To ensure all relevant directions, procedures and directives are followed and correctly read and recorded To ensure all H & S issues are assessed and brought to the attention of the Station Manager Responsibility to ensure all company and legal requirements regarding aircraft/component inspection and production documentation are duly complied with To ensure a good relationship is established and maintained between all line station personnel and interfacing departments To aid the Customer Airlines on-time performance record To ensure all responsible staff are regularly briefed and aware of their responsibilities and updates To ensure the line station is maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner To ensure qualifications are kept up to date To maintain awareness of all H & S obligations and responsibilities To attend meetings as required between shift supervisors and Station Mangers To keep Customer MOC informed at all times about the serviceability and maintenance condition of the aircraft Maintain an awareness of the latest Technical Instructions, NTE's and Procedures from all sources At the beginning of each shift, be conversant with any ongoing problems, and aid the Shift Leader to maintain an accurate shift Log throughout the duty period To carry out tasks as detailed by the Shift Leader and Station Manager Ensure vehicle and ground equipment checks are completed and certified to comply with CAP 642 requirements Accountabilities: Effective Management, development, and motivation of the team To lead by example To ensure all tooling, equipment and premises within allocated responsibility are serviceable and any discrepancies are duly reported Responsibility to ensure all company and legal requirements regarding aircraft/component inspection and production documentation are duly complied with To maintain licence/qualification and training validity necessary to support inspection authorisation utilised during completion of productive work tasks To maintain a working knowledge of maintenance procedures ensuring strict adherence while carrying out line work tasks To maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety, and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility Responsibility to maintain a high standard of written daily maintenance hand-overs To ensure the accomplishment of maintenance and inspection tasks within responsible area using resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner To undertake additional tasks and projects as required for the efficient and productive functioning of the company About you: Qualifications: A level or GCSE A-C standard grades A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar UK/EASA Part 66 B Licensed Aircraft Engineer with cat A on station A/C types Authorisations on at least 2 Customer A/C types Experience: Experience of Base operated A/C Recognised aircraft qualification or certificate Commercial focus and understanding of Company business objectives Willingness to embrace change and flexible working practices Knowledge: Demonstrate a working knowledge of line maintenance activities and expectations Demonstrate a basic standard of computer literacy Demonstrate ability to gain and maintain company authorisations by complying with company and customer procedures Excellent effective communication skills Self-motivated and demonstrate organisational skills within time limiting situations Understand and adopt effective team leadership when required Benefits: 7% employer contribution to pension 240 hours annual leave per annum, increasing by 12 hours per year's service up to max 300 hours Private Healthcare & Dental cover on successful completion of probation period Life Assurance cover Employee Assistance Programme In-house type training options to enhance your skills and long term personal growth Please click the APPLY button to submit your CV for this role Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Aircraft Mechanical Engineer, Aviation Maintenance Technician, or Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Mechanical may also be considered.
