Working hours: Hours are between: Monday-Friday , 7:00am-5:00pm. 38 hours per week About the Role As a Plater / Fabricator, you'll be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, preparing steel plates and sections, and ensuring work is completed to exact specifications. You'll work closely with the welding team to deliver high-quality, precision fabrications. Key Responsibilities: Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately. Cut, prepare, and assemble steel plates and sections to specification. Carry out plating operations in line with work instructions. Pass completed assemblies to welders for final build. Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with standards. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity (following a successful temp-to-perm period) offering a competitive pay rate, overtime enhancements, and the chance to work on prestigious, varied projects. What We're Looking For Time-served with a recognised qualification or apprenticeship in fabrication. Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings. Competent in operating fabrication and cutting equipment. Proven attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances. A problem-solver with sound decision-making skills. Full UK driving licence. Ideally, 4-5 years' experience in a fabrication workshop environment.
