Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant - Aylesbury A welcoming primary school in Aylesbury is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and development of students in Year 2 within a friendly, supportive environment. Position: The Teaching Assistant will support teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities for primary-aged pupils. Working closely with the class teacher and other staff, the successful candidate will help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that enables all children to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Assist with delivering lessons and supporting pupils both individually and in small groups Help prepare learning resources and support classroom management, including behaviour support Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress Carry out administrative duties such as photocopying and filing Adapt flexibly to meet the varied needs of the school community Ideal Candidate: Experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred, but graduates with a passion for education are also welcome Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Committed to supporting children's academic and social development Overview: Position: Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire Contract: Long-term, full-time (5 days a week) School: Ofsted-rated 'Good', 2-form entry primary school Experience: Teaching Assistants and graduates encouraged to apply Role: Whole class and small group support Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant - Aylesbury
