Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Telford Salary: Competitive, plus benefits Job Type: Full-time An established and forward-thinking engineering firm specialising in high-precision manufacturing is seeking a talented Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in mechanical design and contribute to the development of innovative industrial solutions. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, software, and production engineers Participate in design reviews and contribute to product improvement initiatives Produce detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly Engage in R&D projects and support the introduction of new technologies and processes Candidate Profile Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (BEng/MEng) Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design tools Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced engineering environment What's Offered £28,000 per year and a progression plan to improve Structured graduate development and mentoring from experienced engineers Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and real-world design challenges Clear progression opportunities within a growing organisation Supportive and collaborative working culture Please note: This role is only open to candidates who have the right to work in the UK.
