Supervising Social Worker

A fostering provider is looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join their team, supporting a caseload across Somerset. This is a great opportunity for someone whos either established in fostering or looking for a fresh challenge in a supportive and well-structured environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of up to 13 fostering families Provide regular supervision, guidance and support Work creatively and reflectively with carers and young people Take part in an out-of-hours support rota Contribute to the development and improvement of the fostering service Requirements: Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England Experience in fostering or looked-after children services Solid understanding of fostering regulations and safeguarding Ability to make clear, objective professional assessments Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Benefits: £100 monthly car allowance 45p per mile 25 days annual leave (rising to 28 with service) Additional 2.5 days leave (birthday, wellbeing day, and festive shopping) Health cash plan (includes dental, optical, prescriptions) Access to therapeutic wellbeing sessions Life assurance (3x salary after probation) Long-service awards (£200 at 2 years, £400 at 5 years, £600 at 10 years) Monthly recognition awards (up to £150 vouchers) Clear pay grades and career development into senior roles Appointment subject to enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
