Graduate quantity surveyor

Job Title: Graduate Quantity Surveyor Location: Medway, Kent Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience) Type: Full-Time, Permanent Sector: Groundworks / Civil Engineering About the Company: Our client is a leading and well-established groundworks contractor operating across Kent and the South East. With a strong portfolio of residential and commercial projects, they have built a reputation for quality, safety, and on-time delivery. The Role: They are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the groundworks sector, working on a range of live construction sites and learning directly from experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders Support with the procurement of subcontractors and materials Assist with monthly valuations and payment applications Help monitor project budgets and report on cost variances Contribute to cost control and value engineering exercises Assist with site visits and liaising with project teams and clients Maintain and update project documentation Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline Strong numeracy and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard software Excellent communication and organisational skills Eagerness to learn and develop within the role Driving license preferred (due to site travel) What’s on Offer: Structured training and mentorship from experienced QSs Clear progression pathway within the company Exposure to a variety of civil engineering and groundworks projects Competitive salary and package
