Intermediate Business Analyst (JB5453) Remote (Suitable for candidates based in Gauteng or Cape Town) R700 000 to R720 000 Annually CTC Permanent A technology-led organisation within the global travel retail industry is looking for an experienced Intermediate Business Analyst to support the delivery of multiple software development projects across internal operations and customer-facing platforms. This is a remote opportunity suited to a driven individual who can manage several teams and initiatives simultaneously while ensuring business objectives are translated into clear, implementable solutions. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment, the role requires strong experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and requirements gathering across complex systems. A background in retail-focused technology projects is essential, as is the ability to bring structure, clarity, and value to both technical and non-technical teams This role is ideal for a business analyst who thrives on variety, excels in cross-functional collaboration, and is passionate about improving business outcomes through technology and data-driven insights Minimum Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 or A-Levels Relevant tertiary qualification or Informatics degree Preferred: Postgraduate degree, Honours, BA diploma, BABOK, Agile Certification Minimum 5 years experience in software development projects Minimum 2 years experience as an Intermediate BA in Agile environments Experience in the retail sector essential Strong communication, logical reasoning, and problem-solving Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills Analytical, methodical, and results-driven Able to manage multiple projects and teams Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills Emotionally mature, adaptable, and ethical Duties and Responsibilities: Gather, document, validate, and communicate business requirements (Agile & Waterfall) Define vision, scope, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans Review and contribute to product design, test cases, and business processes Manage multiple, concurrent software projects Engage stakeholders to understand needs and value chains Build strong business relationships and challenge assumptions constructively Estimate project durations, identify dependencies, and manage risks Drive process improvements and reengineering initiatives Facilitate JAD sessions and support UAT and validation processes Work closely with business and product owners, and delivery teams
