Fitness app company is seeking an intern to support our team in various aspects of our business. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, social media, technology, marketing, and has experience creating content on TikTok and utilizing CapCut. This internship will provide valuable experience in the fitness - tech industry, as well as the opportunity to contribute to a growing startup.
Responsibilities:
- Film workouts on iPhone: intern will be responsible for filming workouts on an iPhone to be used in our app and on social media platforms.
- Edit TikTok videos: intern will edit TikTok videos to promote the fitness app via CapCut, then convert these Reels and YT Shorts to increase engagement on our social media platforms.
- Intern will have the opportunity to learn and work from the app’s tech platform side, potentially editing, placing and loading new workout components and other app deliverables.
- Social media organic outreach: intern will assist in creating and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement across various social media platforms.
- Research and development: intern will conduct research on fitness trends, new technologies, and industry competitors to help inform our product development and marketing strategies.
- Linkedin outreach: intern will assist in reaching out to potential partners, clients and subcontractors through LinkedIn outreach.
- Create and send emails: intern will assist in creating and sending emails to our subscribers and partners to promote the app and increase engagement.
- Assist with and manage groups: intern will help manage the day-to-day of short-term social media groups generated from cyclical ad spend to optimize user experience.
- Miscellaneous tasks: intern may do an occasional coffee or errand run! :)
This is a non-paid internship, however intern will receive valuable experience and skills in the fitness-tech industry, have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, receive unlimited recommendations when applying for future positions and/or future higher learning, and potentially transition into a paid position based on performance.

- Working knowledge of TikTok from the creator side: The ideal candidate should have experience creating content on TikTok and understand the app's features and trends.
- Experience working in CapCut is preferred.
- Experience with LinkedIn: Experience with LinkedIn outreach is a plus.
- Strong communication skills: The intern should have strong communication skills to be able collaborate effectively and communicate with our audience.
- Passion for fitness and marketing technology and strategy: The ideal candidate should have a passion for fitness and have an interest in technology and marketing, as well as an eagerness to learn and grow in a startup environment.
- Professionalism, punctuality, positive energy and an upbeat, can-do attitude are a must!
- Candidate must have their own car and driver’s license, live in San Diego, CA and be willing to commute to North County.
- Duration of internship is flexible, with a minimum of 3 months preferred.
