Job Title: Buyer Reporting to: Procurement Manager Seniority Level: Mid Career (Above 6 yrs exp) Type: 3 Month FTC Duties and Responsibilities: Efficient, cost-effective, and timely buying of technical components meeting engineering specifications Purchasing for Engineering stores and Service Order and Supplier Management Category and Contract Management Engineering Stores Support Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Reporting and Data management Governance Review and update appropriate stock levels, discontinued lines and ageing report provided by the Engineering department, ad hoc and quarterly - system and bins. Report on unusual inventory volumes and spend to the procurement. Reviews supplier efficiencies from an ordering, stock holding and delivery aspect. Compliance with policies and practices Monitor and report redundancies and report on stock levels. Education: Relevant Degree: Supply Chain, B. Com, Procurement, or Business-related field Systems: Relevant ERP (Syspro) experience advantageous MS Office / V-Lookups / X Lookup and Pivot Tables Experience: 5 years in Procurement within the technical (mechanical, electrical) FMCG environment Purchasing: FMCG experience critical Sectors: FMCG Functions: Retail, Wholesale, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Dispatching & Receiving, Food & Beverage Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree: BCom (Honours)(Any Major) Skills: Senior Buyer, Procurement, Purchasing, Order and Supplier Management
