Job Description

The organization is a leader in endangered species conservation and monitoring. It looks for individuals who are passionate about wildlife and dedicated to making a difference. Work focuses on a variety of priority species, including wild dogs, lions, cheetahs, and rhinos. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, willing to live in a remote environment, and capable of working independently as part of a small team. This position is an opportunity for a conservationist who wants to contribute directly to the protection of Africa's wildlife. Candidate Requirements: South African citizen. N.Dip. Nat.Con. / BSc. Conservation Ecology or similar qualification is preferred. FGASA qualified with field experience, preferably in a Big 5 environment. Valid driver's and PrDP license. Valid First Aid Certificate. Excellent English communication skills. Ability to carry out field monitoring, including the use of radio-telemetry and camera trapping. Willingness to host and provide a guided experience to volunteers. Basic computer literacy and data management skills. Working Hours & Conditions: The schedule is a 22 days on / 8 days off cycle, plus annual leave. The nature of the work requires early mornings, late nights, and weekend work. What is offered: Monitoring vehicle and research equipment. Single accommodation on-site.
