Finance Accounting Manager

Based at our Uithoorn regional HQ site, as the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all accounting matters of the Netherlands based entities. You will lead an experienced accounting team with a continuous process improvements focus at the same time that you will work closely together with your peer finance leaders in EMEA, within the Controllership and Global Financial Business Services areas and other business leaders as well. What will you do ? Process Lead of the financial reporting cycle of the entities in scope: Prepare, review and report accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Ensures administration in compliance with main accounting principles (US and Dutch GAAP). Responsible for monthly general ledger close activities including daily administration process and account maintenance, reconciliations and variance analysis. Conducts various analytics and provides insights to senior leadership. Evaluates financial and team performance by analyzing trends and KPIs and recommends improvement initiatives. Coordinates in the external audit with appointed external accountant and their team. Completes the annual accounts for the entities in scope ensuring timeliness and compliance. Partners with other finance functions and supports on related improvement initiatives as part of the global finance strategic roadmap. Collaborate with other branch Finance Managers as well as with FP&A on budgeting and forecast matters. Provides support to the Direct and Indirect TAX leaders with tax submission matters. Provides active support to the compliance team, SOX related initiatives and audit affairs. Leads the Netherlands controllership colleagues to build a high performing team as per the company strategy guidelines. Fosters a collaborative environment in context of the complex and matrix organized structure as in place in QH. What are we looking for ? Education: Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field. Experience: A few years of relevant experience in a complex, multinational environment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Dutch GAAP , including relevant regulatory standards. Solid understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks. Proficiency in financial systems such as JDE, Blackline, Planful, Workiva, Lease Query, and Concur. Soft skills : Autonomous, hands-on & proactive leadership skills with great influencing and communication skills. Good practical problem solving with acute attention to detail. Strong team player, passionate about delivering success. English professional level language skills are a must. Dutch language skills are highly valued.
